AMANA Refrigerator French Door, Bottom Freezer (Model AFF2534FEB) - Mother Board Issue!

The Amana French door bottom refrigerator model does not matter. My problem concerns the mother board.
I paid $230 to repair a motherboard that controls my refrigerator's temperature and defrost cycle.
The unit is only 1.5 years old, that's right, and was about six months past the one-year warranty. I have friends who have had the same problem, and sadly, I did not consult them BEFORE I bought the unit.
I am done with Amana Appliances , a Whirlpool subsidiary, so Whirlpool is also off my list.
