Frigidaire Freezer refrigerator model#FFHT1713LW5

We bought a Frigidaire freezer refrigerator from our nearest Costco store on June 26th,2011.

This was a replacement for a fridge that suddenly stopped working. It was a Sunday and most places that were open on this day had to order them in and it would take 2 weeks to get it in. We couldn't do without a fridge for that long, so when we found this one we bought it. The model # is FFHT1713LW5. We couldn't get a larger one because of space.

The fridge works great and is quiet, but has one problem. I kept finding the freezer door slightly ajar and it took me a while to discover that while closing the fridge door the freezer will pop open by itself.

The reverse will happen while closing the freezer the fridge door will open a bit breaking the seal. Now we have to watch very carefully every time we go in the freezer or refrigerator.

I've never had this problem with other makes. Is there a solution? We could take it back to Costco, but other than that it works great and it is a hassle to return it because we live some distance from the store.

Would really like a solution.
