GE ENERGY STAR 27.7 Cu. Ft. Fingerprint Resistant French-Door Refrigerator GFE28GYNFS

It holds a lot but that just means more food is going bad in my fridge right now!
I purchased my GE ENERGY STAR 27.7 Cu. Ft. Fingerprint Resistant French-Door Refrigerator GFE28GYNFS in Feb 2022. Everything seemed fine for the first six months, but then, in October, it stopped cooling or freezing.
I did everything I could to make it work again. I thought it had to be something simple, like a circuit breaker issue, but it wasn't. I tried resetting and unplugging, but it didn't make any difference and did not help.
So logically, with a seven-month-old refrigerator, I reached out to GE and called their warranty repair department, thinking they would, of course, be able to solve the issue. In my mind, it had to be something small and easy to fix, considering how new the refrigerator was. So on their first call,
they scheduled an appointment for one week later! That may sound good, but not having a refrigerator for another seven days seemed like an eternity. So I tried to get an earlier date as an emergency cooling issue since all my food was spoiling but to no avail.
I have since made several calls and stayed on hold with GE services for long periods without getting anyone who could make a difference. If you're considering buying this refrigerator, I would definitely not recommend this model or make it based on my experience with it and the company itself.
Not only was it somewhat expensive, but the service is most certainly lacking if something goes wrong.
So here I am, having to wait at least a week to get it fixed because if I call someone else to fix it, it will no longer be under warranty. UGH. Can you see how this is a no-win situation? Plus, when the repairman gets here, if he needs another part, he will have to order i,t and that could be another 2-3 weeks without a fridge!
Seriously frustrating!!
Let's see what happens next.
