Not only am I doing a GE Monogram side-by-side refrigerator review, I am reviewing all of my GE appliances. I bought them only seven years ago, and what a waste of my hard-earned money.

Let's start with our GE Monogram refrigerator: The plastic shelf on the door is cracked. I have already replaced it once, along with another plastic shelf. The new door shelf starts to crack after about a year. I now have it duct taped and refuse to buy another one.

It makes me sick to know how much money I paid for this fridge, and the only way I can keep it together is with DUCT TAPE!!

We replaced our dishwasher with a Bosch dishwasher last September. (Wow, what a difference!!)

The GE Monogram microwave had to be serviced after only a year, which cost me $160, and we hardly ever use the thing.

We just had to buy appliances for some rental properties, and salesman at Lowe's told us not to buy GE-even before we could tell him I had, even if they were free.

You know it's pretty bad when the Lowe's salesman hears so much negative feedback.

Worst refrigerator ever!

We purchased a GE Monogram built-in refrigerator five months ago. It has totally broken down!

The freezer froze half of the refrigerator section and ruined all our fresh fruits and vegetables.

At the top of the refrigerator, the temperature was 55 degrees, and the food there was spoiled.

We did nothing to cause this. I believe we paid between $7000 and $8000 for it.

Do not buy this product!

Agreed Looking as We Speak for Replacement

My husband bought this Refrigerator Seven years ago and we have had nothing but problems. Everything read in previous reviews has happened with our GE Monogram Elite. Only thing Elite about this product is the Service call bills. My repairman won't even return my call anymore. I would burn the thing if it would burn. Haha - what a shame - any suggestions - looking at Kitchrn Aid and Suzero and Thermadore - sick how much we must pay to replace - so sad, a Florida Girl

GE Monogram Refrigerator Very Disappointing

We bought a GE Monogram Refrigerator and Freezer 7 years ago for our new house. The freezer has been fine, but the refrigerator has been problematic over the entire 7 years. We have had it serviced more than once. Setting the frig at the normal cold setting results in ice building up at the bottom as condensation collects making the bottom drawers unusable. Setting it just below normal results in water dripping out of the bottom due to condensation. Per the techs that have been out, this is a design flaw and happens a lot with this model. I will never buy another GE product. This year it stopped cooling down. Good news is it does not freeze at the bottom anymore, but it barely cools at the highest setting. Not worth having a tech out again just to spend another $300. We will not be buying anymore GE products - not worth the money nor the headaches.
