I bought my GE Profile side by side refrigerator model #PSF 26MGW 9/07 and already I've had two major problems:

  1. Just one month later the ice maker stopped making ice.

  2. Now just three years later the Freezer will only go down 17 degrees instead of 0.

Sadly enough, this refrigerator replaced one that I owned for 20 years! I HATE it!

As you can imagine, it is NOT recommended!!

 Model 26 problem

I have a GE Side by Side Model 26 less than 4 years old and for the 2nd time in time in just three months, the unit will not the set temps in the freezer and refrig. 3 months ago, the main control board was replaced at a cost of 289 dollars (with a 30 day guarantee) and now its bad again. GE refrigerators apparently have a problem and if I have to get a new one, it sure won't be GE.
