This is a side-by-side door fridge/freezer. It's about four years old. It does pretty well at cooling, freezing, dispensing water and ice cubes - but the plastic shelves and fruit/vegetable bins are annoyingly fragile.

They are held in with little pegs and runners that break regularly; at least twice a year I'm replacing one or another part (six in the three years we've lived in this house).

The runners are about £15 including postage, which is annoying enough, but the bins are a shocking £60 plus postage.

So with this fridge/freezer you have to count in not only the running costs, but the hassle and expense of replacing tiny, expensive bits of plastic all the time. Next time I'll try another brand.
