Problematic Frigidaire Side by Side Refrigerator Model FRS26HF6BB

Bought my Fridgidaire side by side refrigerator 09/04/02.


Had to have new compressor and relay switch put in on 07/25/05 (less than three years after buying it). That compressor then went out on 07/18/10 (almost five years later to the day!).

Door shelving and tracks for bins were so fragile that 2 of them broke within the first year!

I will NEVER BUY Frigidaire again!

Purchased a LG french door bottom freezer LFX28978SB to replace but am skeptical. Took out extended warranty as it was only $25 a year for 4 years and this model's compressor had a 10 warranty.

Really not much good said about any brand that I could find.

 Frigidaire Refrigerators Rock!!

I have had my current Frigidaire for over 12 years old and the only reason why I am looking to replace it is for energy efficiency.

My first refrigerator was a Frigidaire model FFL1775. I use that one as a spare refrigerator. It still works and holds excess food and freezer items. It's perfect for large gatherings or for when we're having a party.

I don't work for Frigidaire so I am truly an unbiased review. I completely recommend any refrigerators made by Frigidaire. They've always been reliable for us and should be the same for you!!

So sorry to hear you had so many problems with your Fridgidaire refrigerator. We relate to your comment about how there aren't any really great comments on any refrigerators from different users.

What we've come to realize is that someone who hasn't had a problem with their refrigerator isn't going to go online and brag about it.

It's not what crosses your mind. You think, it's working like it should and (if you even consider it at all) and that's it. Why tell anyone about something that's filling your expectations.

Though we are sure that there are good refrigerators out there, just not many great comments about them.
