I purchased this unit with Family Hub directly from Samsung on 9/2020. Just three weeks ago (only three years later!), the compressor failed!


We bought a replacement compressor that came broken when we took it out of the box.

We called and asked how long it will be before we can get another one, but they have absolutely no clue when another compressor will be available!!

At this point, we have been without a Refrigerator for three weeks!!!!

All I can say is definitely don’t be lured by this high-tech "family hub' unit.

All Razzle and no Dazzle.

What good is a warranty when you can’t get a part?

At this point, we've lost all of our faith and trust in the Samsung brand.

Take our advice, and whatever you do, don’t buy a Samsung refrigerator. Go with LG or any other brand because this is beyond ridiculous!

Defective ice maker NEW

Samsung has had defective ice makers for years. Ours only worked about 1 1/2 years had repair people try to fix multiple times. They replaced almost all the ice maker parts in August 23 now it worked less than 2 months. Repair guy said ice maker has fan issue and to join a class action lawsuit. Samsung never contacted us and said anything even though we have had continual problems. Their warranty and extended warranty are a waste of money . They sat we can get a discount on a new fridge so would cost us a few thousands for a new one. How does that make sense? Never buy a Samsung unless you want to throw your hard earned money away.

I purchased this RF27T5201SG/AA three years ago and the compressor is gone! I called Samsung Customer Service. I live in Maine. I was told the closest repair person was in Conneticut. They would pay for the compressor but I would have to pay for the repair person! UNREAL! I would like them to pay all or to pay for a replacement. It has a 10 year warrantee on the compressor.
We are living out of a cooler! We lost alot of food.

Please do not by this Fridge, like the comment above stated all glitter & that’s it! I brought this fridge in 2020 bc I replaced my old fridge due to the ice maker going out. I should have just replaced the ice maker bc this fridge is not worth the cost. Within the 1st month it had huge dents on the freezer door that appeared out if no where. The ice Machine never works bc it’s always clogged with ice. We have to stick our hands in the ice maker to get the clogged ice out.I broke my finger trying to pull the stuck frozen ice out of the corner of the maker. I hate this fridge & that’s a strong word to use. If you are thinking about buying this cheaply made product don’t waste anymore of your eyesight bc it’s not worth a penny!!

Same Problems NEW

I purchased mine in the middle of the pandemic. First the icemaker went out, then it started developing frost on everything in the freezer. had the lcd tablet replaced twice. Finally they gave me a new fridge but recently they had to change the door because it leakes frost and didnt seal right. Never buying another samsung fridge!!!!!
