Whirlpool Refrigerator Side by Side Refrigerator GS6NBEXRS01

We purchased this Whirlpool side by side refrigerator as part of an appliance package with our new home in October 2006.


  1. The ice dispenser went out about 3 years ago and last week the ice-maker started leaking water into the cabinet and all over the food in the freezer.

  2. The fridge is 4.5 yrs old (exactly) and I would not recommend whirlpool at this time.

  3. We replaced the matching dishwasher last fall

  4. We have had to have the over the stove microwave repaired 3 times for door failure.


I definitely would not recommend buying any Whirlpool Appliances!

 Whirlpool gold appliances SUCK

At least I am not the only one with crappy Whirlpool Gold appliances! I bought these appliances, also in 2006, for my new house and the water disp/ice maker has been nothing but a nightmare since the beginning! Now the water is leaking all over the inside of hone freezer and is ice now.
The oven/microwave is another frustrating story.....have replaced the heating element twice and can't even use the auto cleaner or it goes out again. Now the fan/cooling sys is breaking down and is very loud!
Ugghhhh, appliances should last far longer than 8 years without problems!!
