A GE Profile top freezer refrigerator takes the standard top freezer refrigerator up to a new level of sophistication. The extra added bells and whistles make you forget what your old top freezer refrigerator felt like.
They range in size from small at 17.9 cu. ft. to a very comfortable 24.6 cu. ft. and in price from $1749 up to the ultra, high end luxury top freezer for $2149.
We were pleasantly surprised with the adjustments made to these models to create an updated look and feel. Best of all they all tend to come in at a rather comfortable price range that really adds a nice pop to any kitchen.
This GE top freezer refrigerator line is actually rather small coming in with only a few models models to choose from. That may not sound like a good thing, but we’ve found that having fewer choices can actually make the purchasing process much easier.

These top freezer refrigerators can come from basic to decked out. Though remember that a ‘decked out’ top freezer is still quite different than a ‘decked out’ French door refrigerator. When you take into consideration the range of prices you can understand that the more costly it is, the more it comes with.

- ClimateKeeper2™: With this you will never have to worry about smells from the fridge getting into the freezer or vice versa. Each compartment is separate and keeps the air clean.
- Factory Installed Icemaker: This may not seem like a huge deal but many top freezer refrigerators don’t come with this and while having one installed may not cost a fortune, they don’t always work as well and aren’t covered by the refrigerator’s warranty.
- Great Lighting: Seeing inside of a top freezer refrigerator can be difficult if it isn’t well lit but these refrigerators don’t have this problem. Not only is there a lighting in the refrigerator, there are two different light sources from the top and the bottom so you can find what you need easily.
