We've heard from many people about the issues they've had with their Samsung fridges and the difficulty they've had with getting them resolved. The one bright spot in all of this is in October 2010 a class action lawsuit was filed due to all of the Samsung refrigerators problems.
In 2017, Samsung had another class action lawsuit filed in regards to defects in their refrigerators, causing them to stop working after a few years. This lawsuit was settled in 2021, with Samsung agreeing to compensate affected consumers with repairs, reimbursements, and other benefits.
Another class action lawsuit was filed in Virginia over defective ice makers in Samsung refrigerators. At this time they are looking to be refunded all or part of the fees they've incurred.
It also seems that another lawsuit was filed over the "black stainless steel" finish that allegedly peels, chips, flakes, and degrades well before it should.

If the model of your model fridge isn't listed above, but you've had the exact same problem then don't be alarmed. We've also read that any Samsung refrigerators that also have this problem in which the coils freeze over and the fridge stops cooling are also to be included in this case.
